My Russian Rights
An independent informational YouTube channel
An independent informational and educational video resource for human rights issues in Russia promoting a democratic, fair civil society. My Russian Rights is a resource which offers an opportunity to learn about the real situation in Russian detention facilities, prisons, prison settlements, and courts, and tells the stories of civil activists and their work.
My Russian Rights helps understand what to do in a situation when human rights are violated, how to minimize possible risks when interacting with law enforcement agencies, how to stand up for one’s rights, and helps raise awareness. The project is intended to draw the attention of the Russian and international community to the illegal actions of the Russian authorities that violate the fundamental right to freedom of opinion and speech, to expand the understanding of Russian citizens about the possible, legal types of civic activity, and to bring to as many people as possible truthful information about what is really happening in Russia.
